Head Coach Kevin Sheedy says he now wants to sign more than 5000 members by Christmas.
“This is a great start, but we still have a long way to go,” he said as the club resumed pre-season training in preparation for 2013.
“As our campaign says, we need everyone to Stand Tall with the GIANTS in 2013 and get on board for what should be a really exciting year ahead.
“Thank you to every one of the 4,000 members who have already pledged their support for the GIANTS. We have a lot to look forward to next year including seven matches at Skoda Stadium and three matches at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
“And ofcourse we will kick off the season with the blockbuster Sydney Derby against the Swans at ANZ Stadium on March 30 in what should be a fantastic match against the reigning AFL Premiers.
“Our young stars showed in 2012 that they play a tough and exciting brand of football at a world class venue in Skoda Stadium which offers a brilliant experience for fans and particularly families who want to see AFL in action.
“There is no better way to show your support for the GIANTS than by becoming a member and being part of history as we buld this great new club in Sydney and Canberra.”
