2013 Community Facility Grant Program
This follows the announcement that the Joss Group will offer their support to the program for a further two years.
These grants have been designed to provide funding assistance to any community AFL club in NSW or the ACT who are looking to undertake small scale facility improvements to enhance their club environment for the 2013 AFL season and beyond.
In 2013, there will be 10 grants of $10,000 available to community clubs across New South Wales and the ACT. $5,000 will be provided by the AFL and $5,000 provided by the Joss Group.
AFL NSW/ACT Facilities Manager Anthony Brooks said the grant program, now in its third year, had already provided 20 clubs across NSW and the ACT with a valuable opportunity to improve their club’s infrastructure.
“The Joss Group and AFL Community Facility Grants program has given 20 clubs across the state the ability to leverage more than $730,000 in project funding since 2011,” he said.
“The continuation of this grant program for the next two years will allow us to assist a further 20 community clubs in their facility improvements.”
AFL NSW/ACT Planning and Operations Manager Joseph La Posta said he was delighted the Joss Group and Paul Joss had renewed their support for another two years.
“The Joss Group has provided significant support of grassroots AFL programs to assist clubs all over NSW and the ACT, and we’re pleased that this support will continue into 2014,” he said.
Joss Group Director Paul Joss reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots AFL in NSW and the ACT, saying it was an integral part of the company’s core values.
“We’re excited by the opportunity to continue our partnership with the AFL for another two years,” Joss said.
“Through our involvement in this program we’ve been able to contribute to community club initiatives and assist them in their pursuit for safe and inclusive playing environments.”

The Joss Group’s commitment to regional New South Wales is reflected through its ongoing support of the various AFL NSW initiatives which complement the Joss Group’s family values.
AFL NSW/ACT greatly values the support of the Joss Group in a number of initiatives in addition to the AFL Community Facility Grants program. Without the generosity of the Joss Group the opportunity for these grants would not have been possible, and we are pleased to see the benefits of the program have spread far across NSW and the ACT.
