The long road to an AFL career started for more than 50 Riverina teenagers yesterday as Greater Western Sydney (GWS) began its academy program for its next crop of promising youngsters.
The finest under 13 and 14 talent from Wagga, Griffith and Narrandera came together at McPherson Oval as officials from the Giants put the teenagers through kicking school, testing and a few games as part of its Academy Development Series.
