Four more goals in the third quarter meant Wagga Tigers led by 32 points at three-quarter time and an upset was on the cards.
Wagga Tigers completed an impressive all-round performance with another four goals in the last quarter to kick away with an important win.
Wagga Tigers youngster Dougal Howard kicked four goals in the win while former GGGM star Matt Rava returned to Ganmain Sportsground for the first time since departing the Lions to join the Wagga club.

GGGM still sits in second position on the ladder with nine wins and three losses but it hasn’t come at a good time for the Lions.
