Full 2015 Swans and GIANTS fixture
A veritable smorgasbord of top flight football action awaits fans in NSW/ACT in 2015, with a raft of massive matches on the big stage for both the Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS.
2014 Grand Finalist Sydney will host three Friday night blockbusters at the SCG featuring Carlton, Richmond and for the first time in 15 years at the venue, Collingwood, as well three matches at ANZ Stadium, highlighted by a Grand Final rematch with Hawthorn in Round 16.
The GIANTS will play eight home games at Spotless Stadium, beginning with reigning premiers Hawthorn on May 9, and three matches at Star Track Oval in Canberra, including an historic ANZAC Day match-up with fellow expansion club Gold Coast.
The Swans and GIANTS will clash in two local derbies in 2015: on April 18 at the SCG, and August 22 at Spotless Stadium.
Both the Swans and GIANTS welcomed the fixture, with Sydney Chief Andrew Ireland saying he believes “this to be an incredibly exciting season ahead for fans,” while GWS CEO Dave Matthews was “very pleased with the balance of games across Western Sydney and ACT.”
