AFL Community Legend Louise Loftus
Louise Loftus has been involved in the Tullibigeal Football and Netball Club for the past 20 years and has held positions as treasurer and kiosk manager as well as serving as a valued committee member.
Louise is always available for her beloved club to do anything and everything that is needed from cooking the barbecue, to selling raffle tickets, cleaning the netball courts and dressing sheds and telling the men off. Louise’s guidance within the club and also at league level is very much valued by her peers and other clubs within the Northern Riverina Football and Netball League.
As kiosk manager Louise orders all the food for home games and finals and is at the kiosk by 7.30am game day to prepare everything. She will get the hot food on before the workers arrive and then assists with all the paperwork for the day and gets it off to the league secretary – a truly multi skilled young lady to say the least!
Louise has also been involved in the Northern Riverina Football and Netball league for the past 15 years and has held the position of secretary and treasurer as well as umpiring in all the finals every year and just helping in any way possible.
Well done Louise. You are a fantastic example of the volunteer work that is undertaken within the many Community Football and Netball clubs across Australia.
Each week during the regular season AFL NSW/ACT will identify and recognise a local Community Legend from one of our community Leagues. Volunteers play a vital role within our game and without them community football simple doesn’t happen. AFL NSW/ACT would like to thank all of our community volunteers for their ongoing commitment to our game.
