RAMS National Championships squad named

The team has been selected for the RAMS’ first game in Queensland this weekend, with the side for their remaining two matches in Victoria – against NT and Queensland – named early next week.

NSW/ACT RAMS will open their Division 2 National Championships campaign against Tasmania at 10am on Saturday June 20 at Fankhauser Reserve in Southport.

Though minus a host of injured stars, the RAMS squad is full of players who are genuine draft chances, should they excel on the big stage of the National Championships.

The team has come from all over NSW/ACT, from locations as diverse as Gol Gol near Muldura, to Narrandera outside Wagga Wagga, to Nelson Bay in Northern NSW, and the ACT and South Coast.

Four 19-year-olds and five 17-year-olds have been names alongside the 14 players aged 18, with five TAC Cup teams represented amongst the group.

The entire team, along with head coach Tadgh Kennelly and assistants Jason Saddington and Michael O’Loughlin, will assemble in Sydney on Thursday night and train Friday morning before departing for Queensland.
