All Australian honours for U15 schoolboys

Four New South Wales players and one from the ACT have made the 2012 All Australian team at the School Sport Australia under 15 schoolboys football championships.
For the NSW team, Jacob Hopper of St Francis De Sales (Leeton), Callum Mills of Northern Beaches Christian College, Jock Cornell of Mater Dei Catholic College (Wagga) and Timothy Coenen of Chevalier School (Moss Vale) all received All Australian honours.Sam Askew of St Edmunds College (Canberra) earned selection from the ACT team.
In more positive news, Callum Mills also came third in voting for the 2012 J. L. Williams Medal, polling 13 votes behind Nicholas O’Kearney of Victoria (16 votes) and Sam Ciappina of South Australia (15).
AFL NSW/ACT schools and universities program manager Mark Ayers was excited by the result.
“For the first time we’ve had four players in the All Australian team,” Ayers said.
“In terms of development, it’s a great sample of how the TPP (talented player program) is performing in New South Wales.”
The individual awards capped off a successful championships for NSW, who finished fourth overall at the competition.
