AFL Riverina Competition Nominations – Season 2023
A key recommendation to come out of the AFL Riverina Competitions Review was for the introduction of a multi-tier Senior Competition structure.
The recommendation also included a requirement to develop a club participation criterion for clubs aspiring to nominate for AFL Riverina’s premier competition, along with a transparent process and timelines for clubs to follow.
To participate in the Riverina FNL, AFL Riverina will assess a Club’s suitability for participation in accordance with the AFL Riverina’s Criteria for Participation, and AFL Riverina Minimum Standards documents.
Clubs aspiring to participate in the Riverina FNL must satisfy the Minimum Standards for the AFL Riverina premier competition as prescribed by AFL Riverina (refer ‘AFL Riverina Club Minimum Standards’).
Accordingly, the AFL Riverina Board invite clubs to nominate for participation in the Riverina FNL for season 2023.
Clubs electing to nominate for the Riverina FNL are requested to complete and submit the online form (link provided): https://www.cognitoforms.com/AFLNSWACT/AFLRiverinaCompetitionNominationForParticipation
To assist clubs with their nominations we have also provided the current AFL Riverina’s Criteria for Participation, and AFL Riverina Minimum Standards documents, along with an AFL Riverina Competition Nomination Approach document.
The AFL Riverina Competition Nomination Approach document provides clubs with:
- The club participation criteria for clubs wishing to nominate for the AFL Riverina competition.
- Timelines for clubs to nominate
- Grading levels for each club participation criteria
- Screenshots of the online nomination form.
Please note: Nominations for participation will now close on Sunday, 19th June 2022. The timelines have been adjusted at the back end of the nomination process to provide clubs with earlier confirmation of which competition they will participate in for season 2023.
